Established in 1985, Godden Structural have a track record of 30 years of building and repair in South East London, Kent and the surrounding areas.

Over the years we have developed unique methods to reinstate the structural integrity of cracked buildings as well as building structurally sound new ones. Our projects can be large or small; they can be commercial, local authority or domestic.

Our services

At some time in their life most structures will develop cracks. Any cracking of a masonry structure will affect its performance. There are many reasons why a structure will crack and the result may be the need for purely aesthetic repairs or for full-blown structural work such as piling.

Smaller local repairs

These include crack stitching, lintel repairs, stabilisation of cracking caused by ground movement and expansion.

Masonry can be reinforced using a beam which allow the masonry to work in tension as well as compression. The beam is produced by inserting helical stainless steel bars into slots, usually cut into the mortar joints, bonded with cementous grout. the disruption to the building and its occupants is minimal.

Larger repairs involving the entire building

These include repairs to the foundation such as this example from Kent.

Used in combination with the helical beaming system the helical pile is used as a standard pile and beam repair method. The system is very quick and easy to install giving an efficient and cost effective solution.

New foundations may also be cast on the previously driven helical piles. The lightweight equipment ensures that there is little disruption, even on the wettest sites. Because of its unique design, it’s very effective in tension and compression, equally shared along the whole length of the pile. This allows the helical pile to be utilised in retaining wall stabilisation and soil pinning.
